Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Collins is also referred to as Antonietta Gonzales-Collins within the US and Mexico, is a Mexican-American sportscaster. She anchors SportsNation as well as an anchor for SportsCenter anchor. Her first assignment with ESPN in the year 2016. She is a daughter of Maria Antonieta Collins, a TV reporter. Antonietta has been bilingual since her age of nine. Her ability was crucial in helping her get her first post as a producer assistant at Univision Miami in which she worked with the producers of programs including Nuestra Belleza Latina and Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud. When she was in St. Petersburg, she was hired to the CBS station as the sports reporter. Her move to Rio Grande Valley in 2009 to become a reporter at the Spanish channel KNVO TV 48 Univision, and Fox2 News. In 2009, she relocated into Rio Grande Valley, Texas in which she was an editor for KNVO48 Univision and Fox2 News. Anchor duties on sports and weather was regularly requested. Deportes 23 is Univision Dallasthe affiliate of Univision Dallas, and she takes on more responsibility. She also did segments on Major League Baseball's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason and Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. In addition she also co-hosted and produced Univision 23's Accion Deportiva Extra local sports show. The show was commissioned as a anchor for sports for Despierta America Deportes for their morning program. As a sports anchor she was employed by Primer Impacto (a network magazine) as well as Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports program). Antonietta Collin's parents originally hail from Veracruz Mexico. Then, they moved to Mexico City and she was born there on the 22nd of November, 1985. There is an older sister. Her family left in 1992 Mexico and moved to Miami. Her parents divorced soon after in 1995. Her mother remarried a naval architect known as Fabio Fajardo who died of kidney cancer in 2006. She stayed with her family in Canton Ohio with her older sister in the summertime and was given the opportunity of a job. Antonietta was a senior in high school and had a clear idea of the path she was looking for. So while assessing if Mount Union was right for her, Antonietta decided to go visit the university. It turned out that she liked the campus and that the school had the program she desired. After finishing high school, she made the decision to attend the University and major in media studies. Mark Bergmann - her professor was also the station manager at WRMU (91.1 FM) in which she was a part of. He encouraged her to be self-confident and also his love in journalism was a huge influence on her. She in turn, strived to meet his expectations and never fail him.
