Azita Ghanizada

Azita Ghanizada, the Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in several television shows. She was born in Kabul, Afghanistan. Her parents fled to the US where they were granted asylum. The middle sister of her mother raised her to the age of Northern Virginia. Ghanizada made her debut on the television industry by appearing on several National Commercials. Ghanizada's performance in the Laura Neri 2004 film A Kiss on the Nose as Chiara earned her a nomination for Best Actress at a film festival. Her television guest-starring roles include How I Met Your Mother Entourage Veronica Mars The Wedding Bells NUMB3RS Bones Psych and Castle. Her most recent roles include the role of a supporting character for the character of Blood Shot, (2009) which is based on the science-fiction movie Blood Shot and independent comedy You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada began her acting career in 2008, as a actor on General Hospital's premiertime spinoff General Hospital. Season 2 of Night Shift featured Ghanizada play the role of Dr. Saira Bhatra, a specialist in holistic medical practices.
